Project D presents dark and moody images that give metaphorical meaning to dead and decaying objects, delighting the audience with an eerie sense of beauty. The human element is not visible in the photographs, however, the audience can project human qualities and emotions onto the subjects.
This body of work is a combination of two projects – Project D by photographer/graphic designer, Clare Hodgins and Perishable Dandelions by musician/writer, Mitchel Pangas. The art installation comprises of photographs, found objects, soundscape and a book intertwining the photographs and short story. Viewers are invited to draw their own connections between the various elements.
